I signed up for MMA classes at a place close to my apartment. Furthermore, I am in a food and nutrition class and a dance class called body conditioning and injury prevention. I will also be using this blog to create entrees for my dance class assignments. I felt that writing about the excercises we have done in class and how they help me with my MMA would be interesting. In this class we will be working on flexibility, something that I need to personally work on and something that can benefit anyone doing MMA.

Cool - this sounds like it will be a really interesting and exciting experience. I think it shows a lot of intrinsic motivation to get yourself moving in a new direction now that soccer - something you've obviously pursued for a long time with vigor - is ending.
ReplyDeleteI think tranisitioning out of something that takes so much time and energy can be hard on people - both physically and emotionally - Ive seen retiring dancers struggle with both sides - and doing something new is a great way to combat boredom and malaise.
